Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other by Sophie Grégoire Trudeau

2.0

This is not a traditional memoir, which I was hoping for when I started this book. Instead, it’s more of a self-help guide with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau’s reflections sprinkled in. While there are moments of honesty, her privileged perspective often feels disconnected from real struggles. The advice is well-meaning but can come across as tone-deaf. The expert interviews add some depth, but overall, I wanted a deeper, more personal narrative instead of scattered prompts and broad reflections.
