This was the Tuesday Episode of the series.
For those who watch soaps, you know that Tuesday episodes are mostly to tie up loose ends from the Friday/Monday cliffhangers and slowly begin set up for the Wed-Friday story lines. Usually, nothing important happens on Tuesdays except for the expanding on already established story arc. Plus, it is children of the staple families at play here. photo YampR-spoliers_zpsguyeell0.jpg

It's important to read the series in order to understand who Ginny, Luis, Dakota, Mallory, Lacey and Jeffry are and their current dilemma's. So the crew hanging out at the pool began showing their true colors and now it's clear that best friends are really frenemies.
This series has been highly entertaining and this installment added another layer.

I liked this installment, but it wasn't as strong as the first two books [bc:Tempest Rising|26274314|Tempest Rising (Rising Storm #1)|Julie Kenner|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1441884189s/26274314.jpg|46273661][bc:White Lightning|26275281|White Lightning (Rising Storm #2)|Lexi Blake|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1441884500s/26275281.jpg|46274618]. The pace of this story was definitely slower. The children behaved as I expected, entitled, bratty and full of teenage angst.

What I liked about this book was it gave the characters more shading. The previously nice Lacey and Jeffry was given more shading so we see that they aren't so "nice". More past information was revealed about Ginny and her wild side that it's only a matter of time before people starting questioning her stories. Mallory, Luis and Dakota are all in for a rude awakening when they go up against money, power and reputation in their little town of Storm.
