This is a great read for kids who live in hard places & circumstances. It is a hope giving story of a girl with a promise from God. We get to see Sierra (11 year-old) walk her mother through PTSD triggers, we see her be the adult & to stand up for stability. She learns that in spite of her insecurities she is a light to those around her.
