Ooohhh!
I NEED Jake to get his life together.
Even his closest friends are telling him that he’s acting out, which is a refreshing change of pace from most bully romances, where everyone follows blindly. There is way less of that in this one, although we do have to contend with a vapid “Queen Bee” that feels like she owns the hero.
And Amalie. Although I would have liked her to be a tad bit stronger, I can also see the resemblance in how she behaved with how a teenage girl would have behaved, if faced with the same treatment.
All in all...
Recommendation: it’s definitely worth the read. There’s a lot more at play, and a solid build up for book 2 in the series.
