Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

I can't say I like Siddhartha the character, but I can say that a few years and a second read made me much more appreciative of Siddhartha the book. The language, if nothing else, is quite beautiful, and there's a lovely introspection to it. I'm not especially enthralled by the ideas of Buddhism, though, and like I said, Siddhartha is kind of a jerk. Still, not a bad read.
