I am on the side of this where I don't think the "love triangle" was enough to deter someone from reading the book. Not everyone will qualify this as a love triangle so I recommend just going in! After a ONS, Holden doesn't remember his time with Phoenix. This causes Phoenix to be angry and they begin an enemies relationship. It is actually kind of funny the things they do to each other. But the more the hate comes out, the stronger the attraction between them grows.
