Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding

3.0

Umm, not totally funny, only points go to Bridget's failures (which was what it's supposed to entertain about so that's fair), it did make the overall book quite work. Jones was such a hopeless romantic Brit in her 30s. But there were a few boring and flat parts as well. I only shared a few laughs around November until the end.

On the other hand, what I particularly liked about the story was the solidarity between their friendship and family. That I think was the core of this whole diary thing; the hell with Jones' love life, haha. I'd wish to have a Tom as well, such sweet best friend.

MOVIE REVIEW: Zellweger and Hugh Grant nailed Bridget Jones and Daniel bloody hot Cleaver. ;)
