I was surprised to love this book so much! After a few unsuccessful attempts at taking on my TBR, I landed on this book because of its themes of my favorite things: besties, books, and bevs! I loved the way that the narrative moved between each woman, and the way that the reader got a chapter with each of them while waiting for the other 3 to catch up. I felt that the plot was quite perfect, and I am so glad that this book caught my eye on the featured display at the library!

Okay I am glad that everything worked out so perfectly in the end. Aaron was a deadbeat ass and I'm glad that my good sis Leslie got him out of her life. I love that Toni and Kent got married and he supported her through her infertility and her journey with Skins and the law/her past. I love that Wade didn't end up divorcing Celeste, although I wish he hadn't been so "I knew I was gonna come back I just had to force you into therapy" because that never helps, BUT slay Celeste for knowing he could never leave her. And also slay Yasmeen for getting her money back and supporting her family and helping her punk-ass man turn his life around and make some bussin food. Great freakin book.
