Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore

4.0

I like time travel stories, and I LOVE time travel stories that actually confront the logistics questions I’d personally have once I moved past the shock of traveling through time. How would I adjust to new technology, or lack thereof? Would I remember which stocks to buy? Would I warn myself about the hard times ahead, or just let them happen? Oona confronted all these questions and more, and I enjoyed her story so much. I called the major twist from a mile away, but it didn’t bother me to wait for the reveal. The dialogue was extremely believable and the pace of the story moved quickly but gave me the amount of detail I wanted. While the romantic interests and friendships in the story held my interest, the love story between Oona and her mother is the true heart of this book.
