I was delighted to rediscover this universe and the story of Mische and Asar. Although it took me a little while to get fully back into the story (the drawback of reading a series that isn't finished yet), I really immersed myself in the story from about halfway through. My heart beat and stopped more than once for these endearing characters... now I can't wait for the next book in 2026!
