This is a good book to read during autumn. The ambiance is there and it's enhanced due to the Hunt and the hala.
I really enjoyed Wes as a character. He seemed so genuine and I loved his POVs. Maggie was a bit more complicated due to her unfortunate background that made her really tough. I appreciate the fact that she was more difficult to crack.
The ending was a bit off for me. I would have liked to see a more challenging Hunt, for the hala to pit up a fight. And Maggie's behavior made me a bit angry in the scene of the hala's death. How even in that crucial moment she still doubts Wes and turns her gun on him.
Overall, it's a good book.
