Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

3.0

I curse at myself for not reading these as a kid even though my family always implored me to. They are magical, and despite me thinking this and the first are still a little too childish for me, they do portray a magical, fun high school mystery with wizardry and witchcraft!

This time round another mystery, the chamber of secrets has opened and mugglebloods (half bloods) are disappearing left and right. Our favourite wizarding trio investigate, break school rules, learn more about Harry and his Slytherinian connection, and save the day!

The best thing about the books so far is the atmosphere. Thanks to the fun naming (I mean Draco Malfoy just screams evil, as opposed to Cornelius Fudge), the magical and fairy-tale like atmosphere and easy writing, it's a world you can't hate to explore
