This is a joyful graphic novel, perfect for ages 8+ - yes you too, adults! Hadley, the bard, reminds me so much of my young kid. I really felt like I was getting a glimpse into how wonderful she is going to be as she ages. This story teaches a great lesson about respecting other and respecting the earth and animals around us. We are are living together. The non-binary rep was so pure and easy. This rep shows kids that non-binary people exist just like they do, no more or less. The energy of the book was just enough chaos to keep kids engaged while still teaching them so much. I will be passing this book down to my children because I know they will love it as much as I do.
