I loved this book! There is so much to digest after finishing this one- the story jumps between past and present following the main character and her experiences growing up as a Chinese immigrant in Utah to working an office job in NYC and then surviving a zombie like pandemic.  It was beautifully written and discusses themes like consumerism, repetition in ones comfort zone, and also touches on globalization and American manufacturing and what it feels like to be a young adult making their way in the world.  Also how was this published before the Corona virus? It was simultaneously spot on but also didn’t hit so close to home that it felt like current events or trauma porn.
