Felt slow to start; picked up in the middle so I stuck with it, but the end was disappointing. Found myself confused a lot by character choices and reactions. Many times I thought "why? That doesn't make sense." It's not the worst book I have read, but I have no desire to read the next one. Especially towards the end, I found the FMC confusing and contradictory--and in an annoying way instead of thought-provoking way. I think we were supposed to feel or understand what the FMC was experiencing, but I often disagreed with her reactions. I also wasn't sure about the world that was created. I guess I like when the world sounds fun or interesting, and this one just sounds depressing.
