i'm so happy to see the growing queer representation in middle grade books!! this is a story about standing up against homophobia, pride, joy, and celebration. Jake, the first openly gay kid at his school, has a supportive friend and parents (which i appreciate) and the characters discuss some really important topics and one of the characters has anxiety
