eh, this was okay. the beginning and middle was so well-done, and despite not really enjoying plots featuring magical timeloops, i was really liking the antics that sent mae back in time. however, once we reached the halfway point, mae just... stops time-travelling? like i get it, there needs to be a point where she gets enough right that the universe doesn't send her back to start over, but i think if mae was sent back to the plane one more time, the story would've flowed a lot better.

also, the ending was really rushed? nobody really questions mae's explanation of time travel when she finally breaks down and explains what is going on, they just kinda ignore it all together. the only person who really gets it is benny (which i'm not at all surprised by, he's by far the best character in the book), and even then, it takes *seeing* mae's predictions come true for him to truly accept it. andrew focusing on a past that, in their current timeline, didn't even happen and then pushing mae away for it really was weird, especially when like, a day later he's totally over it and suddenly wants mae no matter what. it just didn't really flow.

idk. i wanna keep giving christina lauren chances because i know people love their stories, but i just don't think their work is for me, tbh.
