I love how dark and brutal this book is right off the bat. Elias with his own mom who never wanted anything to do with him and Laia who is more of a badass than she gives herself credit for. I love how real she is about how she isn't necessarily brave but is willing to stay true to her word and make shit happen in order to become more daring. Im really excited to see where this series goes.
