Okay full disclosure? Anything with Dragons in the plot you can count me in.
I was a bit skeptical about this since tik tok is infamous for letting me down when it comes to book recommendations but this served.
Starting from the world building to the descriptions of the dragons, I loved every second of it. This book didn't miss to bring a surface level introduction to the world of Navarre. Add to this a good character arc and I'm sold. Violet has so much of development in terms of her character and the survivor mindset she gets into. She learns her true potential and becomes more determined and stronger both mentally and physically - the former by making sure to weaken her opponents and find the best way to protect her country while also educating everyone on what they should know being the absolutely smartest person in the room and the latter by making sure to make her body work in her favor.
and if a strong, independent FMC is not enough XADEN RIORSON should be!!! Like the first time he made an appearance I would have saved a dragon and (well you know the rest) He himself is a strong and complicated character... but he is simply awesome..
and did I MENTION THE DRAGONS?!?
