This book feels like drinking coffee. Good coffee, even though I am a Chai person. I have to keep drinking it but I also want to drink it for as long as possible but it is just so good I can't stop. The whole theme of this book is to a second chance to life. It asks to acknowledge whatever has come before us in time and not let it go to waste by making it a reason for our sadness but rather carry those things as a reason to live more. If I were to describe this novel I would say it is light hearted and yet it made me emotional at so many points. The flow of emotions, the subtle observations about human nature, all of these just add to my praise of Toshikazu Kawaguchi. Such an amazing novel and smooth writing. If anyone loved this novel and wanted more of this type of work then I would suggest Death Parade in Anime and Hotel Del Luna in K-drama. This book just convinced me to buy the whole series. Loved it.
