After the End by Amy Plum
1.0
I wanted this book to be better than it was. The premise was interesting. There were dogs. There was intrigue. But this book just doesn't meet its potential.
I should have given up at the first inklings of a romance driven plot (why?). I should have just chucked it away at the dubious consent (is this just a thing in sci-fi?). But I persevered and my 'reward' was a contrived and disappointing cliffhanger so you just HAVE to read book two.
This may be the first time I have decided to not read the sequel out of spite.
