Im honestly surprised all of the reviews are from 4 years ago. I loved this book! The thriller aspects were there throughout the entire story which made for a story that you couldn’t put down. Of course there was some outlandish plot ideas, from Oren connecting with the ghost and always seeming to know what will happen next. Other than that storyline the book was great. I loved/hated multiple characters throughout the story. Alice really got on my nerves with her bad attitude, and I’m glad she got her redemption. Mattie was very interesting and there’s so many elements about her that I loved, from not wanting to disrupt the bedroom, to letting the house go to shambles because she couldn’t cope with everything that had happened- and the whole cop story line with Frank. I would definitely recommend this book for a quick, although at some times far fetched, story.
