I didn’t know this was going to be a closed door romance (no spice just alluding to it happening) so just a heads up if you’re going to start it and also didn’t know!

I’m a sucker for a fake dating trope and the premise of this one had such promise but it just fell a little flat for me. I think I concentrate too much on timelines on books like this and the thought of someone falling completely in love in 12 days is crazy to me and maybe it just takes me out of the story.

I felt like the drama between Olive and her sister Sarah was dragged out so long before it was explained to us readers and that kind of annoyed me. Sure, we could deduct some ideas of what happened between them earlier on, but the constant almost talking about it and then immediately ignoring it got kind of old. I also just couldn’t get past Olive’s entire family being totally okay with what Sarah did to her sister and kept trying to make things okay between them… I would literally never want to be anywhere near my sister again and I especially wouldn’t want to be around the rest of my family if they kept trying to push past everything. and then Sarah was just expecting Olive to forgive her??? and Logan saying “sorry but I fell in love with her the moment I saw her it was inevitable” like WHAT??
