Okay let’s get one thing straight. This is book was entertaining but NOT FOR THE ROMANCE. The main character was supposed to be body postitive but I really felt that she was indeed just insecure and in no way actually confident about her body. Every few pages she had to be reassured that she indeed was able to be loved by these men because of her insecurities of being fat. This got tiring after about the 100th time. To be honest I really did think this main character needed therapy maybe and not a man. She spent about more than a decade chasing a man who did not at all want to claim her and was actually ENGAGED. If that doesn’t scream in need of therapy I don’t know what does.

This book included SO much fatphobia which I understand was for the plot but it almost became redundant and unnecessary at some points. The main character was put through HORRIBLE situations throughout the entire filming of the show. It’s sad to say how realistic I felt it would be if the main person on these shows were plus size. The only aspect about this book that I enjoyed were the makings of a reality tv show part. I love The Bachelor/ette franchise and seeing how much this book was influenced but it was fun to read. BUT THAT IS IT. By the end of this book I did not care a single bit about who Beau ended up with. It was very predictable and the romance wasn’t even anything to root for. I found myself actually being bored by the love interests in this book at times, yikes! At the end of the day this book is a romance and if I didn’t care about anything about the romantic parts in the book then that just shows why this book wasn’t for me. I’m really disappointed because I had no doubt I was going to love this book.
