I am enjoying this series and to be honest I only started it to get to the 4th book in the series because of the Reading Challenge I am doing this year. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far as having never read any other books by this author. I have seen some reviews that say some of the characters, mainly guests at the Inn, are somewhat annoying, or one dimensional, predictable, or with low self-esteem, but I find them to be endearing. So far this series is lighthearted, despite some of the depressing plots of some of the characters. This is an easy, sweet, quick read, that you will laugh, cry, say ah-ha!, and end on a good note. My favorite scenes are banter between Jo Marie and Mark Taylor. Sometimes it is almost like a little boy pushing the girl down on the playground, but you are secretly rooting for them. I will be starting the 3rd of the 5 books tonight and I cant wait to see how all of the characters end! I would highly suggest this series and author if you are looking for a story told from multiple viewpoints, relatable plots, and a heartwarming story!
