The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
4.0

If I ever need a reminder of how blessed I am to be able to work, have my own money, choose my husband, and be able to read, I’ll reread this book. It’s easy to forget that these rights are not accessible to women in other countries. As much as this is a book of warnings, it’s also a book full of realities. Multiple times I put the book down and just said “thank you God that I am able to read”.
