The Midnight Palace by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

2.0

I read this a couple weeks ago but didn't have time to write a review as I was on vacation. The point of this review will have to be that the book was very easily forgettable, because I honestly can't bring up enough opinions to really say anything worthwhile. I seem to remember that while there were some nice suspenseful moments (also, I really liked the setting-- 1930s Calcutta) but every single character was utterly one-dimensional and pointless, contributing to a rather lame ending. I don't think I'll be going out of my way to read the next books in the series.
