I literally only pushed through and finished this because I needed a Z book for my alphabet reading challenge. 

The writing style just did not work for me at all. There was possibly a beautiful story in there somewhere but it was lost beneath the bad slang and comic book POW’s and BAM’s and excess ellipses and whambamthankyouma’am’s and other words runningwithnospaces and random CAPITALISED words in the MIDDLE of sentences.

(There was literally a SH-BOOGIE-BLAMMO in there and I’ve still not quite got over it)
