To Treasure an Heiress by Roseanna M. White

5.0

‘To Treasure an Heiress’ continues to follow the vivacious Beth Tremayne from ‘The Nature of a Lady’ as she carries on in her search for long-lost treasure on the Isles of Scilly. To her dismay, Lord Sheridan, the man who has her trinket box and refuses to return it, is also looking for said treasure. Reluctantly, she agrees to search together and they may find more than just treasure along the way.

I LOVED this book. This is a book I want to read over and over again until I have all my favorite lines memorized and I can anticipate all my favorite scenes. It was truly one of the most delightful and entertaining reads. With a medium faith thread and lots of symbolism it doesn’t fail to inspire.

Again, Roseanna’s characters shine through her writing. Mamm-wynn is still a delight, and we meet Sheridan’s sisters who are equally hilarious. But OH SHERIDAN! If he had my trinket box I’d just see it as one more reason to marry him and get it back.

Sheridan has the most unique sort of charm. His personality leaps off the page and his quirks are so endearing. I don’t think anyone can NOT love him. Even Beth’s impatience with him is short-lived. ;)

Again, we get to see a side character’s point-of-view, Senara. Even those without points-of-view have distinct personalities and quirks that have the readers asking ‘What’s their story?’. Bram - Lord Telford - for example is always drawing the strays out of the shadows. As luck would have it, Bram will have a point-of-view in ‘Worthy of Legend’ which I’ve just started reading. I can’t wait to embark on the next treasure hunt on the lovely Isles of Scilly. I’m already excited to see what stray Bram decides to rescue next.

Roseanna continues to entertain and inspire me. Take my word for it, you will not regret taking a vacation in the Scillies with her team of interesting characters. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read the books and your thoughts. If you haven’t read it, you can find it online and in bookstores.
