Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

5.0

A very, very good read. It has the same basic approach as The Martian : constant problem solving. But it adds some depth and scope to it. It even reads better, especially for hard sci-fi. If you liked The Martian, you’ll love this book. If you didn’t like it… you should still give it a try. It is funny, smart and touching. And it has a few clever twists.

It doesn’t go that deep into the human psyche (go read Arthur C. Clarke for that), but still has some philosophical and ethical resonance. It’s also a great page turner, is very well structured and paced.

Highly recommended.
