Once in a while, I try to read a Stephen King novel again and lately I just always regret it. I continue to be just stunned by what a fucking sexist creep he is, despite the fact that some elements of the writing are excellent in many ways. This one is really violent and grotesque snd meandering, and I finally stopped listening when there was some really horrifying animal cruelty about to happen.
