Pack Challenge
by Shelly Laurenston
Sara’s injured leg has always given her trouble, but that seems to be getting worse and worse. She’s trying to hide it from her friends but she knows that they’re beginning to suspect.
Zach knows his Alpha Female is trying to hang onto their power a little while longer even though everyone knows his Alpha Male is pretty much ready to hand things over to Zach. For now though, there isn’t anything he can do about that and he’ll just have to follow orders to keep Sara safe. The attraction he feels for her is unexpected and unwanted, but no matter what he tries, he doesn’t seem to be able to ignore it.
Sara doesn’t want anything to do with Zach. She barely knows him and she isn’t interested in getting involved with some biker who is only going to leave her behind when his gang moves on and it doesn’t matter how attracted she is to him – not that she’s admitting she’s attracted to him.
Soon though, the two have to face their attraction to each other as well as the lion shifters who have been gunning for her for years, the ones who killed her family and gave her the scars she still bears.
While the beginning and build up is a little slow and the action and conclusion feels a little rushed, this is still a fun read that also introduces Shelly Laurenston’s shifter world.
