His & Hers
by Alice Feeney
This book was a big old waste of an afternoon. I solemnly swear I’m giving up cheap thrillers no matter how good the blurb is. * Crosses heart and hopes that better mysteries will be written in the future *
I should’ve known when “HER” told us in one of the very few chapters that she was an unreliable narrator. The “HIM” chapters once again made me concerned about the state of policing. Please, please tell me someone as mentally f-ed up as Jack would not be a top detective.
The author spends so much time sprinkling the water with red herrings that I can’t say I was surprised when the giant shark plot twist jumped up to bite me. I guessed who was behind it even if I skimmed the last hundred pages in disgust.
Don’t waste your time.
