Gina is not the most beautiful woman on earth, and she knows it—after all, she's been made fun of since she was a child. However, she has learnt to ignore the whispers and the mocking, and she now works as a wedding planner. Ford is the black sheep of his family. A cop when his family has been firefighters for generations, he couldn't ignore his sense of justice so he decided to make people respect the law. When the two meet at a wedding, it's instant attraction, but although Gina has grown up, people still enjoy making fun of her, and the night ends with her leaving the venue running.

But the two are not done. When Gina finds the body of her grandfather while renovating her house, It's Ford that answers the call and decides to get close and "protect" her. If then he can get a little bit of intel about the criminal activities of Gina's brothers, that will really help his department. However, the attraction that Ford feels for Gina is real, and he can't pretend for long.

It's really a cute story, and I hurt for Gina. She didn't deserve of that bullying. I'm really happy that she found a man who loves her for who she is and accepts her all the way.
