I liked this graphic novel a lot. it had a lot of depth, a lot of diversity, and a lot of meaningful messages. i did, however, want more world building. i wanted to know who these witches were and how the families pass down their magic. i also wanted more relationship building between astor and charlie. i wanted to know more stakes, but i loved the art style, the characters, and the breaking of traditions.
