Fire Weather: On the Front Lines of a Burning World
by John Vaillant
Obviously, some very grim subject matter, but I’m consistently impressed with how John Valliant is able to weave together all his narrative and thematic threads, build tension, and keep relatively dry chapters on the history of, in this case, the petroleum industry and the history of early science about the atmosphere and its chemical makeup engaging and propelling.
