The Do-Over
by T.L. Swan
GAH. I really wanted to love this one, but I just didn’t. BE AWARE THAT THIS REVIEW WILL INCLUDE SPOILERS.
Christopher has been the biggest mystery of the Miles brothers and I am glad we finally get to see him get his HEA.
Things I liked:
All of the scenes with the other Miles brother (especially Tristan). And the HILARIOUS yacht scene with Masters, Spencer, and Garcia - I was laughing out loud at that.
The friendships that were formed during the year away. I loved the core group of the 6 of them.
The relationship between Eduardo and Christo and Eduardo and Hazen individually. The ending for Eduardo really bad me in tears.
Things I didn’t love:
Christopher. His character was awful. I’m sorry, but he’s the worst out of any character I’ve read from this author. He is a whiny, spoiled, entitled brat. Every time he didn’t get his way, he was yelling and screaming. I hated how he was continually doing that to Hayden and she just took it and let him get away with it. Throughout the entire book, there were numerous times that he should have groveled and it didn’t happen. I wanted more growth from him, but the minimal growth that we saw, was washed away the second that the conflict happened at the end:
Hayden. I could take her or leave her. I honestly didn’t care either way. She really needed more of a backbone.
While this wasn’t my favorite story in the Miles Brothers stories, I am really looking forward to seeing the future for Christopher, Hayden, and Eduardo in the Miles Ever After book!
