Dawn to Dark by Halston James

I didn't particularly enjoy this book. Which was a shame because I was really looking forward to it. I adore fairytales and retellings of the classics. But this wasn't that.
It was merely writing. Some good. Some bad. But not great.
The saving grace was the Aladdin retelling. That one I loved. I didn't like any of the other ones. The premise of the stories themselves were decent. But they needed more editing. There was one story that flipped back and forth between POVs and didn't distinguish them. Another had the pace completely wrong. Yet another just didn't work. At all.
