It's been over 10 years since I read this last. I read it as a middle schooler and just loved the intrigue. Reading it now, however, I'm still pretty intrigued (hence why I'm willingly starting this series over) but it also upsets me.
Reed is so contradictory, both supposedly not caring what people think of her yet also sacrificing everything for the approval of some teenage girls. It's just sad to think of a young woman finding truth in any of these thoughts. There's so much more to life.
