This book is sharp. It demands attention. Written as a series of letters between two time-traveling agents (on opposite sides, of course), it unfurls a love story between two women with everything you can imagine between them. However - however - they manage to connect. While the plot is light and easy to read, the language is striking. Several times my head shot up while reading it from the power of individual passages. It is both plain and lyric, poetic and cutting.
