I thought this was going to be a light hearted read but it was so emotional read. The heartbreak the family had to go through following Emmy and Doug accident but then watch Beth navigate through this new life and face some of her true feelings for Jordy. The eulogy Beth gave to Doug was heartbreaking and so beautiful as was every time she went to speak to Emmy. The emotion of all the characters was so well conveyed and Albert is one of my favourite character of all and there needs to be more of him in this world. He added wisdom and humour to help break up a lot of the intensity. Jordy and Beth were clearly in love with each other but both were too scared to admit it. Beth's mum was over bearing but taking a step back it was just her way of dealing with everything and trying to control the little parts she could. This was such a good read and I'm just sad we never got to see Emmy wake up and he proud of her little sister.
