Of course, one always comes upon new best friends unexpectedly. You never purposely set out to find one and should you have let your hopes up you usually get very disappointed. In this book I think I have found one.

I expected this book to be "quite alright", funny, highly annoying, and witty as Douglas Adams' writing always is, surprisingly I felt a deep connection with it. It is snorting out loud funny in a highly realistic sort of way, whilst describing absurdly impossible circumstances.

The plot is completely fragmented and presented out of order with points of view shifting rapidly and even such things as certainty about place and time do not exist. Incredibly, it all works out and ties together.

I feel a great urge to immediately start over again, no doubt there are a whole lot of subtleties that I have missed.
