The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
I hate giving star ratings to classics, so I'm just going to give my thoughts.
I've read most of the Sherlock Holmes novels, but until now haven't read any of the short stories. Well, apparently I'm just an idiot, because short stories are the format where these stories really thrive. The novels contained ridiculously long excerpts full of barely relevant details (I will NEVER forgive ACD for the evil Mormons plotline in ASiS).
This was fun. I spent a few weeks reading a short story or two before bed and I really enjoyed myself. The standouts (in my opinion):
1. The Red Headed League (literally how does someone come up with this idea hahah it was so funny)
2. The Speckled Band
3. The Man with the Twisted Lip
4. The Adventure of the Copper Beeches
