not an original concept by any means and the writing is nothing extraordinary, but it was a very enjoyable read nonetheless. the narrators are funny without being slapstick. there's sentimentality but not cheesiness. the female antagonist and at least one of the male protagonist's friends were annoyingly one-dimensional, but the rest of the characters make up for it. glad i finally got around to reading this one.
