The blurb for this book doesn't really give you an insight into what the story is. Elizabeth is a tightly wound adult caring for a nephew after her sister failed to step up as a parent. Imaginary (or invisible) friends are a thing, sent to help children (and dying adults) deal with the challenges they face. But sometimes it is the adults that need help with their own challenges. This was a bit of a love story, a bit of a (late) coming of age story. While it had potential it was just missing the thing that would make it a good book.
