I’m not sure why so many popular thrillers rely on pedophilia and grooming right now. It’s gross and should not be romanticized. Setting up a generation of readers to have distorted and unhealthy expectations of what is considered exciting and normal in a relationship. The characters are predictable, undeveloped, and whiney. Couldn’t do it.
