Cal is very flawed and has an authenticity in is self-doubt and constant questioning of is abilities. The questioning of how things work is interesting, and wanting to shake up the wealthy, powerful and corrupt. Cal does whine about his circumstances at times, but he keeps moving forward even through terrible setbacks. The narration is very good except the female voice for the epilogues, which is not my favorite. I thought the wrap-up would have been better if told from a different point of view, but there was an attempt to preserve some mystery until the big reveal, which wasn’t that surprising. Overall, I thought it was fun short novel.
