Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
4.0

I read this in audiobook format. For personal use: She finds out her brother is alive, they go to an island called Tuck to escape Maven. Mare and Cal break out after being imprisoned with a few allies and start finding new bloods to join them. They find some, some are killed before they can get to them. They meet a seer who tells them that they will be successful when breaking a bunch of new bloods and silvers out of a prison where they’re being kept. They are, but Shade dies. So does the queen. We find out that Farley is pregnant. They go back to Tuck and gather volunteers to save a bunch of children that are being hauled to the front line to die and end up being captured by Maven while flying in the jet. Maven lets the others go and parades Mer around in a collar for everyone to see.

I listened to the audiobook and loved the writing style just like I did with red queen. The personalities and abilities of the new bloods were awesome to read and I look forward to reading the next book in the series to see what they do to rescue Mare.
