Goblin Market and Other Poems by Christina Rossetti

fast-paced

3.0

'I have no heart? — Perhaps I have not; But then you’re mad to take offence That I don’t give you what I have not got.'

'We must not look at goblin men, We must not buy their fruits:
Who knows upon what soil they fed
Their hungry thirsty roots?'

Some really interesting poems on love, loss, nature and death. The poems took a sharp religious turn towards the end which wasn't my cup of tea but enjoyable enough.
