Safe with Me by Amy Hatvany

4.0

This is a sad book that goes pretty much where you expect it to go. Still, it has a hopeful ending and teaches some good lessons about friendship, family, grief, and being honest both with yourself and others. The characters are sympathetic, real, and easy to root for. While SAFE WITH ME is predictable, with nothing about it that truly stands out, it's an engrossing, compelling read. It kept me turning pages for sure. Based on this novel, I'll definitely be looking for more from Hatvany.
